Product Description:
Carbon steel plate can be referred to as plain carbon steel or
carbon steel. Besides carbon, it contains a small amount of
silicon, mananese, sulfur, phosphorus and other elements. Its
carbon content determines its hardness and stength; the higher the
carbon content, the better the hardness and strength, however, the
plasticity is worse.
According to the carbon content (from 0.05% to 2.1% by weight), the
carbon steel plate is categorized to four classes: low carbon steel
(0.05 to 0.25% carbon content around), medium carbon steel
(0.3-0.5% carbon content around with balanced ductility and
strength and good wear resistance), high carbon steel (0.6 to 1.0%
carbon content around, very strong, used for springs, edged tools,
and high-strength wires) and ultra-high carbon steel (1.25-2.0%
carbon content around, able to be tempered to great hardness).
Furthermore, this kind of plate is primarily used for building
construction, such as shipbuilding, engineering machinery, bridge
construction, mining machinery, coal mining machinery, railway
construction, highway construction, chemical plant construction,
power station and wind power generation.

manufactured through cold and hot rolling, but also can be

resistance can be improved through surface treatment and coating.
