KS Ar400 Ar500 Wear Resistance Steel Plate 500 Hot Rolled
AR500 steel is a wear-resistant steel, also known as armored
ballistic steel, used in applications of high-wear products such as
mining or material handling as well as military equipment. The
steel has been heat treated and shown by hardening, improved
forming and welding properties. Often used in bulletproof vests.
Wear-resistant steel plate grade for high wear applications such as
mining equipment and concrete treatment.
Surface hardness can range from 470 to 540 BNH.
It has excellent resistance to sliding wear, friction wear and
heavy wear.
Can withstand high impact forces even at extremely low
temperatures.
The AR500 is not certified for ballistic use, although it is often
